Created in Atlanta, Georgia, by Dr. John S. Pemberton, Coca-Cola was first offered as a fountain beverage by mixing Coca-Cola syrup with carbonated water. Coca-Cola was introduced in 1886, patented in 1887, registered as a trademark in 1893 and by 1895 it was being sold in every state and territory in the United States. In 1899, The Coca-Cola Company began franchised bottling operations in the United States.
Coca-Cola might owe its origins to the United States, but its popularity has made it truly universal. Today, you can find Coca-Cola in virtually every part of the world.

ReplyDeleteI was crying when I watched the video. It reminds me of my Aunt who is in Thailand right now. As they say, you can't miss someone until they're already gone. I am happy that Coca-Cola Philippines is finding a way to bring happiness back to us cheerful Filipinos!
ReplyDeleteThe warmth of their love for their family truly brings happiness to all. So if you're alone at Christmas Eve, take the time to come visit your friends, neighbors, enemies, classmates, relatives, parents, and GOD as well. :) MERRY XMAS!
I didn't understand much of the language throughout the video, but those smiles speak louder than words. Awesome job Coca Cola!

ReplyDeletea bittersweet depiction of the reality that we live in. Coke truly captures the sentiments of OFWs. A job well done.

This is by far the most amazing and meaningful advertisement that Coca Cola did for our unsung OFWs...Coca Cola, Mabuhay!!! I can relat because I know how hard it is to have someone leave you for you to be able to study and live the easy life out of the hard scenarios in the Philippines. I love the OFWs and I love Coca Cola!
ReplyDeleteI love this ad!!! Naiyak ako, sobrang nakakatouch...missing my family in the Philippines :(
ReplyDeleteNOBODY CAN UNDERSTAND THE DEPTH OF OFW's PAINS AND MISERIES.... UNLESS THEY BECOME OFW THEMSELVES.... whilst the OFWS learn to numb their heart in order to survive the cultural pockets... They have to survive the psychological, emotional and mental agonies... they really have to.... lest their families and loves ones will linger in miseries.
ReplyDeleteHirap ng OFW :(
ReplyDeleteThe OFWs are the heroes of the Pinoys... and Coca Cola project gave them the gift of respect they deserve :D ( oh .. and im not a pinoy... but i recognize, and VALUE the contribution the pinoys are doing to the WORLD )
ReplyDeleteHindi q maiwasang umyak at humagulgol... I'm a 1st time OFW here in Saudi just 3 mos. working. Such a great help for the OFWs. I love this Coke project! :)
ReplyDeletesometimes we have to remove the brand/sponsor out of the way and just enjoy what these people experience. this is not about the brand. it's about the experience. good job!

ReplyDeleteOh man.... i cried over this video.... My father was a retired OFW, my brother and i get to see him only every 2 years in our entire lives and he only stays for two weeks and left again. He never saw how we grew up and a lot of adjustments were made when he retired for good..We only got together for good after i graduated from college last 2003. I Salute you Coke!!!!
ReplyDeleteCause, "Coca-Cola" is about "GIVING" ! I have a "Coke" Machine IN MY HOUSE, If I see a person working, walking, or just plain HOT & THIRSTY nearby, I give them a FREE can of ICE COLD COKE, I was "Blessed" with the COCA-COLA Machine and I make sure it does what it's suppoded to, "THIRST STOPS HERE" !
